THE HEART BEHIND THE BOOKS
I have always been deeply curious about how the world works—and eager to share what I learn. That curiosity has led me to explore business, law, and the financial systems that shape our everyday lives.
I served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member, working to improve access to healthcare, support nonprofits focused on health and food security, and help communities learn about renewable energy.
Buying my first home and starting my first business made that learning personal. Navigating loans, credit, and interest rates taught me lessons I wanted to pass on, including the mistakes I made along the way.
As I learned more about government, taxes, and financial structures, I began to see how their foundations could be introduced to children in simple, meaningful ways. I think of these early lessons as seeds of knowledge: family conversations provide the water, while coloring, reading, and games bring the sunlight.
With time and encouragement, those seeds can grow into big ideas, new interests, and curiosity about future careers that can change the trajectory of young readers’ lives and the lives of their families. That is the hope behind Little Dreamers, Big Discoveries—a collection rooted in curiosity, creativity, and Black experiences.
FOR THE GROWN-UPS IN THEIR CORNER
At the kitchen table, in a reading corner, or alongside a lesson—let the page be the beginning of the conversation.
Pick a page, share the pencils, and let each child bring their own ideas to the picture. There’s room for a whole rainbow of perspectives.
Read the brief description together. Notice what catches their attention. Let a simple “I wonder…” lead to a conversation or further reading.
Connect the story to a family experience, a classroom topic, or a future dream. The first book includes space to draw an idea of their own.
GOOD QUESTIONS
The series will officially launch on the release date of Little Dreamers, Big Ideas. That date has not been announced yet.
You can submit a no-payment preorder request above with an adult’s name, email, and the number of copies you’re interested in. Requests are saved for follow-up; they do not confirm a purchase or reserve stock. Final price, availability, shipping costs, and delivery timing must be confirmed before payment.
No. Submitting a preorder request is free, with no deposit, payment details, or automatic charge. The book itself will be offered for purchase; its price and any applicable taxes and shipping costs will be confirmed before you choose to buy. A request does not commit you to a purchase or reserve stock.
Retailer and checkout information will be added when confirmed. In the meantime, you can submit a no-payment preorder request for Little Dreamers, Big Ideas. The five additional books are in development and are not available to order yet.
The collection is being developed for curious children and the families and educators reading alongside them. Topics and reading demands will vary by title. Final age guidance will accompany each release; adults can use the previews to judge the fit.
The collection is planned as physical coloring books. The pictures on this website offer a look inside; they are not a downloadable edition. Final dimensions, page counts, and prices will be confirmed with each book’s listing.
The first book’s coloring scenes have blank backs. If using markers, place a protective sheet behind the page. Paper can still allow color to bleed through; test your coloring tools first.
The planned books invite thoughtful exploration of people, cultures, evidence, faith traditions, and art. Historical evidence, religious beliefs, and artistic representations will be distinguished rather than presented as interchangeable.
THERE’S A WHOLE WORLD WAITING ON THE NEXT PAGE.
